Stiki, Software Engineering and Information Technology Consultancy gets registered for both its Information Security Management System and its Quality Management System. Stiki has accomplished to become the first Icelandic company to be certified for its Security Management System by BSI (British Standards Institution). The Information Security Management System ISMS which meets the criteria of BS 7799 and the Quality Management System QMS which meets the criteria of ISO 9001 were registered. These certifications mean a great deal to Stiki. They mean trust, and with them Stiki proves information security and quality reach all parts of the company. According to the website http://www.stiki.is/, Stiki is amongst a group of 126 international companies which have acquired BS 7799 certification from an accredited certification body. It is the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) which accredites BSI. At the same time Stiki is launching two information systems which it has developed in cooperation with the Health Ministry. The use of these systems is a turning point in the evaluation of health status of elderly people. The protection of personal data is ensured with the latest encryption technology, . The Software Engineering and Information Technology Consultancy Stiki was founded in 1992. At the moment there are 8 employees. The company has specialized in information technology, especially in the security of handling sensitive data. Clients of Stiki are all the Ministries, the Directorate of Health, health and financial institutions. From the year 1994 the staff of Stiki have been working for the Data Protection Authority. |
