In May 2018 Menon Economics published a case study on Stiki as a part of a report on the influence of standards on the Nordic economies. Menon Economics is a consulting firm which employs 40 economists of which one fourth have a PhD.

Stiki has been ISO/IEC 27001 certified since 2002 and the case study looks at why it was necessary for Stiki to get certified.

Stiki – Information Security is a small Icelandic company specialized in software development, data hosting and consultancy, primarily operating on a global level. Stiki was the second company in Iceland to receive information security certification in 2002 (BS 7799, prior to ISO/IEC 27001). Standards include international comparison and certification of quality and thus using standards lies at the heart of the company’s operation. Stiki develops two kinds of software, one for risk management and a health-evaluation software.
